Product information "iM871A-USB - Wireless M-Bus USB-adapter 868 MHz"

Attention: Product discontinued. Replacement iU891A-XL Wireless M-Bus, Art. No. 404926, available in few quantities now.

The iM871A-USB is a compact wireless M-Bus USB-adapter based on the high performance wireless M-Bus module iM871A. The adapter offers a cost-effective RF solution for smart metering applications connecting water, heat, electricity and gas meters with standard equipment like Laptops, Tablets, etc. The iM871A-USB is qualified according to the European RED directive and is fully compliant to the EN 13757-4 standard (S1, S2, T1, T2, R2, C1 and C2). An adjusted output power of +14 dBm combined with the high sensitivity of the USB-Stick enables ranges up to 500 m.

USB to UART Bridge Virtual COM Port (VCP) drivers for Microsoft Windows, Windows CE and Linux are available (www.silabs.com). Furthermore, the Wireless M-Bus DLL and the Wireless M-Bus Studio GUI from IMSTs Wireless M-Bus Starter Kit “SK-iM871A” can be used to easily configure and explore the iM871A-USB.
